☕ Opening Prayer

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with hearts full of expectancy, knowing that You are a God of divine plans and perfect timing. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Today, we stand on this promise, believing that no matter what we see, no matter how the waiting feels, You are working behind the scenes for our good.

Lord, when uncertainty knocks, remind us that Your plans are yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20). When the storms of life shake our confidence, let us rest in the truth of Isaiah 55:8-9, that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts. Help us to rest in the assurance that the trouble will be all over in the morning, that troubles do come but they ALWAYS pass! Help us to seek you with our whole heart father God, give us the words to say when we get weary! Renew our strength and allow us to rest easy in your promises!

Teach us to wait with faith, not fear—to hold on to the expectancy that You are an on-time God. Just as the sun rises each morning without fail, Your promises are faithful and sure (Lamentations 3:22-23). Give us the patience to trust, the strength to endure, and the wisdom to recognize that even delays are part of Your divine design.

As we sip on this truth today, let it nourish our spirits, as we chill in your presence we bind worry, and loose a peace that surpasses all understanding. We decree and declare in your obedience that you are renewing our hope with each word read, and that your angels are present keeping watch of us and reminding us that our waiting is never wasted. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Trusting the Process, Tasting the Promise

You ever feel like life is giving you a plot twist you didn’t sign up for? You’re praying, believing, trusting… but the job didn’t come through, the relationship fell apart, the healing hasn’t happened yet. You know what God promised, but the process isn’t looking like the prophecy.

If that’s where you are, you’re not alone.

Waiting on God’s promises can feel like staring at an empty cup, wondering when the pour is coming. But here’s the real tea: God’s plans for you are brewed to perfection, even when you can’t see the steam yet. In your season of wait, God is preparing YOU for the prophecy. Preparing YOU to savor the perfect flavor, and guess what, it will blow your mind when you finally taste the promise!

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."Jeremiah 29:11

Delayed Does Not Mean Denied

Maybe you're in a season where the answer is taking longer than expected. The door you prayed for hasn’t opened yet. The relationship you thought would last is over. The opportunity you prepared for slipped through your fingers. And now, doubt creeps in, whispering, “Did I hear God wrong?”

But just because it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean it won’t happen. God’s plan is still intact—even when life feels like it’s falling apart. Just as the lyrics say, "if you trust in God, it will be alright!". Right there, the Winans are promising us that the delay is not representative of a denial. The delay is ALWAYS representative of our development. He is developing us to bear the fruits necessary to carry out his prophecy! In the words of The Winans & Anita Baker....

🎵 “Ain’t no need to worry, what the night is gonna bring, it’ll be all over in the morning.”

The waiting can feel like nighttime—long, uncertain, and filled with questions. But just like morning always comes, God’s promises will always arrive right on time.

God is a Master Planner

Ever brewed a strong cup of tea? You don’t just dunk the bag in and snatch it out—you let it steep. Because the longer it steeps, the richer and bolder the flavor.

That’s how God works. He doesn’t rush His plans. He lets them steep, making sure every detail is infused with His wisdom, timing, and favor.

"The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, He is patient with you..."2 Peter 3:9

It’s not delayed—it’s developing.

God is preparing the right people, the right place, and the right opportunity so that when the promise arrives, it’s not just good—it’s God-ordained.

Faith While You Wait

Waiting isn’t passive. It’s not about sitting around, twiddling your thumbs, hoping for something to change. It’s active trust.

  • It’s praising before the promise.
  • It’s declaring victory while still in the battle.
  • It’s choosing faith over frustration.

"Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay."Habakkuk 2:3

If God spoke it, it’s coming. The enemy wants you to think that silence means abandonment, that delay means denial. But the truth is, God is setting you up for something greater than you can imagine. The real tea is that he promised us in Isaiah 55:8-9 that his ways are higher than our ways, and his thoughts are higher than our thoughts. As they, The Winans & Anita Baker, minister to us on more than one occasion in our inspiration for today,

🎵 "In the morning, morning, it’ll be all over in the morning."

Your morning is coming. The breakthrough, the answer, the next step—it’s all on the way.

So hold on. Keep sipping on His promises. Keep trusting. Keep expecting. Because the same God who planned your future is faithful to fulfill it.

"He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."Philippians 1:6

☕ Sipping on Truth: Key Takeaways for Trusting God’s Plans

Waiting on God’s promises isn’t about sitting in uncertainty—it’s about sipping on truth while he develops us to fulfill his prophecy. Here are four powerful takeaways to hold onto when life’s delays make you doubt God’s plans.

1. The Wait is Not a Waste

📖 Scripture: Habakkuk 2:3"Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay."

🔹 Just like a strong brew needs steeping time, your waiting season is a preparation season. God is aligning the right people, the right timing, and the right opportunities for you.

🔹 What to Remember: If it’s God’s plan, it’s worth the wait.

2. Delayed Does Not Mean Denied

📖 Scripture: 2 Peter 3:9"The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, He is patient with you..."

🔹 What looks like a delay is actually divine development. God isn’t just preparing the promise for you—He’s preparing YOU for the promise.

🔹 What to Remember: God is never late—He’s always right on time.

3. Keep Sipping on Faith, Not Fear

📖 Scripture: Jeremiah 29:11"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

🔹 The enemy will try to serve you fear and doubt, but you’ve got to sip on faith. Choose to believe that even when you don’t see it, God is still working.

🔹 What to Remember: Fear looks at the problem, faith looks at the promise.

4. Your Morning is Coming

📖 Scripture: Lamentations 3:22-23"Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."

🔹 The night may feel long, but morning always comes. No situation lasts forever, and God’s faithfulness will never run out.

🔹 What to Remember: If He did it before, He will do it again. Hold on—your breakthrough is coming!

☕ Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with hearts full of expectancy, trusting that Your plans for us are good, faithful, and right on time. Even when life feels uncertain, we choose to sip on Your truth rather than our fears. You remind us in Jeremiah 29:11 that You have plans to prosper us and not harm us, plans to give us hope and a future. So today, we hold on to that promise with unwavering faith. After all, who are we to deny what you are going to do! Just because we haven't met them, just because it's not on our resume, just because the doctors have issued a diagnosis, does not change what you said in your word. So father we thank you for doing exceedingly and abundantly more than we could ever hope for. We thank you for the prophecy that you promised.

Lord, when we grow weary in the waiting, remind us that the wait is not a waste (Habakkuk 2:3). Help us to see that every delay is divine development, preparing us for what You have already set in motion (2 Peter 3:9). Let us not be discouraged by time, but instead, trust in Your perfect process. Knowing that you are busy perfecting all the details. The big and the small details that will support the fulfillment of your prophecy, the fulfillment of your plans for our future!

Teach us to sip on faith, not fear, to rest in the certainty that You are working all things for our good (Romans 8:28). When doubt creeps in, when circumstances try to shake our belief, let us anchor our hearts in the truth that morning always comes (Lamentations 3:22-23).

We declare today that we will walk in expectancy, knowing that if You started the work in us, You will complete it (Philippians 1:6). Our morning is coming, and so instead of worrying, we trust that You are an on-time God and expecting you to fulfill the prophecy for our future! We are expecting you to renew our strength and for you to give us the hope you promised in your word!

We seal this prayer in faith, thanking You in advance for every promise that is unfolding before us. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
